Prime Tanki Patch 2.0 Notes

Play Close to Home

Prime Tanki now has a server in Brazil. If you play from Brazil, your battles can run on a machine near you, so your ping is low. Everyone else plays as before.

One game, two regions

• Battles run in two regions: Europe and Brazil. You log in once, with the same nickname and password
• Your account, garage, crystals, clan, friends and progress are the same in both regions. There is nothing to move and nothing to set up
• Lobby chat is shared, so Brazilians and Europeans talk in the same chat. Battle chat belongs to its battle

The battle list

• The list shows the battles of your own region first: the server closest to you by ping. A Brazilian sees Brazil on top. A European sees the list as always
• A battle that runs in Brazil has a Brazil tag with your ping to it. Battles in Europe look as before

Joining the other region

• Click a battle in the other region and the loading screen says Connecting to Brazil. The join takes a couple of seconds longer, then it is a normal battle
• When you leave, you are back in the lobby, with everything as you left it

Create battle

• Create battle has a Region picker that lists each server with your ping to it. It starts on the closest one
• Brazil has three Halloween Deathmatch rooms of its own: Recruits, Rising and Veterans

Samba do Brasil

A limited offer for Brazil. The paint is animated: a green cloud field with gold and blue light, and the Brazilian flag forming out of it.

XT Turrets and Hulls Show Their Tier

Railgun and Hornet XT already looked different at each tier. Now the rest do too.

Turrets

• Thunder XT, Ricochet XT, Vulcan XT, Firebird XT, Isida XT and Hammer XT look different at M0, M1, M2 and M3

Hulls

• Viking XT, Titan XT, Mammoth XT, Wasp XT, Hunter XT and Dictator XT look different at M0, M1, M2 and M3

Cleaner Map Themes

A map never has two variants under one theme name now, so every theme can be picked.

Changes

• Summer is now Day, and Night MM is now Night
• The night versions of Fog, Winter and Space maps are called Fog Night, Winter Night and Space Night, so plain Night shows up on those maps too
• Create battle opens on Day on every map. Space used to come first on some maps
• Platform's day map was labelled Space. It is Day now

• No kill zones in Parkour: roofs, wall tops and map edges no longer destroy your tank in a Parkour battle. Every other format keeps them
• Recruits and Rising rooms are always full, at any hour, and every kill in them pays in full

Augments

We are still balancing augments.

Changes

• Ricochet's Helios is available again

Up to 3 Accounts per Player

One player can have up to 3 accounts. While Prime Tanki is young, we may change this number. It keeps the game fair and stops one person from holding a lot of nicknames.

Nicknames taken back

• We took back hundreds of nicknames that players were holding on spare accounts, to keep them or to sell them later
• They become free for anyone on 6 November
• If you messaged us about your nickname before today, you keep it
• We do not take nickname reservations any more, so please do not message us to ask for one

• Players who deliver the flag fast on Ping-Pong are no longer kicked by mistake

Game Updates Are Much Smaller

A game update is now about 3 MB instead of 22 MB, so the launcher gets you into the game faster.

Log in with Discord

Under the login window there is a Discord button. Press it, press Authorize in your browser, and the game logs you in and remembers your computer.

How it works

• A new player picks only a nickname, with no password and no email code
• Email and password login works as before
• The website sign-up and your account page can sign in and link with Discord too

• The eSports button has a red mark while a tournament is open to sign up or check in that you have not looked at yet. Opening the eSports window clears it, on any computer
• Prime Tanki Support is open at support.playprimetanki.com, in English and Russian, with help articles and tickets. It is in the top bar of the website too

• Sign-up works with Proton Mail (pm.me) addresses
• A nickname you changed away from is free for other players at once
• Many smaller fixes
